Karen is a Fashion Data Specialist working with cross-functional partners to develope customer-driven features. She is skilled in annotating, curating, and auditing trend-focused projects in a timely manner, which helps strengthen the AI machine learning to better customers’ shopping experience. Not only is she a creative problem solver, but also an entrepreneur looking to grow her brand.

 

As a Taiwanese immigrant, she has been fascinated with visual and written narratives across cultures since college. Her multicultural lenses and degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Art & English Creative Writing have paved the way for her fashion career. 

 

In 2017, she created PomPomChou out of her passion for Japanese fashion, including fairy-kei, lolita, and gyaru. It is a kawaii lifestyle brand that aims to inspire and empower customers’ ever evolving selves through unique clothing and accessories. Her goal is to establish an e-commerce platform with a Seattle flagship location. To further develop her brand, she is currently enrolled in MFA Fashion Product Development.
